Got something broken at home that you can’t fix yourself?

Save it from the landfill and bring it to the Canning Repair Lab!

This free community event allows you to drop off your broken items and have them fixed by skilled volunteers. It's a great way to reduce waste, learn new skills, and connect with the community.

The labs are held at Canning River Eco Education Centre (CREEC), located at the corner of Kent Street and Queens Park Road, Wilson.

Please note, no high-voltage electrical items can be repaired, and repairs are not guaranteed. Bring only safe, battery-powered items.

Movie Day at the Library – Fortnightly on Tuesdays till June 17th!

Held at the Kelmscott Library, 2784 Albany Highway, Kelmscott from 2pm till 4pm

Bring a friend and meet other film fans while enjoying popcorn and a movie!

A variety of light-hearted movies will be selected from Kanopy, a free streaming platform available through public libraries. The movie title will be available from the library the week before each showing.

Tea, coffee, and popcorn are supplied and bookings are NOT required. Contact the library on (08) 9394 5810 for more info.

Join the City of Canning this ANZAC Day for this commemoration.

You are invited to honour the legacy of our service men and women at the Civic Amphitheatre, 2 Civic Gardens in Cannington on Friday, the 25th of April.

The morning begins with the ANZAC March at 7:45am, followed by a commemorative service at 8am. The event will conclude at 10am, with light refreshments provided afterwards.

An AUSLAN interpreter will be present, and everyone is welcome. This is a free and accessible event.

Come and show your support, as we reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who have served Australia and New Zealand.
