How will my donation be used?
- Heritage FM Inc. (107.3HFM Radio) is a not for profit member based organization, run by volunteers
- The radio station operates thanks to the funding from membership, donations and sponsorship
- All money from donations will be used exclusively to help with the running costs of the station
- No volunteers are paid for their work at the station
- Our accounts are audited annually to ensure the funds of the station are used correctly and in line with our Constitution
- Our annual financial statements are presented to the members at the AGM to ensure members are fully informed of the costs associated with running the station
Is my donation Tax Deductible?
- Heritage FM Inc. (107.3 HFM Radio) is a Not For Profit (NFP) but is not currently a registered Charity
- In early 2024 the Australian Taxation Office began to change the way NFP donations were handled
- We are currently working with the CBAA Community Broadcasting Association of Australia to to assess if we will change our status to be a Charitable Organization so that all donations will be fully tax deductible. For now donations to 107.3 HFM are NOT tax deductible.
