NAIDOC WEEK – 50 YEARS OF DEADLY
NAIDOC WEEK – 50 YEARS OF DEADLY

The City of Gosnells is proud to recognise this year’s national theme, “50 Years Deadly.” Marking five decades of NAIDOC Week, this milestone celebrates the enduring strength, resilience and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is both a reflection and a celebration — acknowledging the generations of organisers, artists, activists, Elders and communities who have shaped NAIDOC into what it is today, and ensured it remains grounded in culture, truth and connection.
The City of Gosnells will host a amazing program of events, workshops and community experiences throughout the week. It is about bringing us together, offering opportunities for learning, celebration and meaningful connection for all members of the community.
NAIDOC Week will officially commence with our Annual Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday 6 July, a significant moment of unity that sets the tone for the week ahead. A range of experiences — including cultural workshops, exhibitions and live performances — will be on offer, providing something for everyone to engage with and enjoy.
