Why choose to sponsor Community Radio?

Sponsoring 107.3 HFM Radio comes with a range of benefits, the main one being that you get on-air advertising for your business covering whatever sponsorship package you choose. Sponsorship is an extremely cost-effective way of reaching a new customer base or reinforcing your brand to existing customers.

With a maximum of only 5 minutes per hour of paid sponsorship, your message will stand out, unlike advertising on commercial stations. We will work with you to understand what message you wish to get across and help create a script to achieve that.

All out ads are professionally voiced and can include music and special effects, so your message stands out.

Sponsors who take out a minimum 3 month package will also be featured on our website free of charge for the duration of their campaign. Our sponsor page features your logo, a description of your business and links to your website, phone number and your address.

What makes a great radio ad campaign?

  • Have a Clear Idea – Understanding that our aim is to increase awareness of your business, we need to look at the individual components of your campaign.
  • Targeted Demographic – 107.3HFM Radio as a community station, broadcasts to a broad demographic, from teens to baby boomers, so you’re covered! We will help you choose a voice and script which target your intended audience most effectively.
  • Sound Effects and Music – This is an important part of your radio ad. If it doesn’t grab the listener’s interest immediately, your campaign is affected. It should compliment the product or service you’re trying to sell.
  • Script/Copy – Once your sound effects or music have got the listener interested, you need to convey the benefits of buying your product or services. This needs to be done in a clear, believable and easy to understand fashion Then most importantly providing easy to remember contact details.
  • Script length – As a rule 65 – 75 words is the limit for a 30 second ad. This can vary however depending on the style of announcement, and how many sound effects you use. One of the most common mistakes that people make when writing an ad, is putting too many words in, and then trying to make them fit.
  • Keep it Simple – Radio is a background medium. Most people will listen to the radio whilst doing something else, such as driving or working in the garden. Understanding this, it’s important not to put too much information into your ad.
