ANZAC Day is one of Australia’s most significant national days, marking the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
Observed on April 25 each year for over a century, ANZAC Day has become a sacred institution in both Australia and New Zealand. The courage and sacrifice of the ANZACs—supported by British, Indian, Irish, French, and Canadian forces—created a powerful legacy. The “ANZAC legend” has become a cornerstone of our national identity.
The March will start at 7.45AM followed by the Service at 8AM, event concludes at 10AM.
Please note – the Canning Districts Sub Branch of the RSL will also be holding a service at 6am before the City of Canning’s Service. This service will be held at the Canning Districts RSL Sub Branch, 162 Wharf Street, Cannington, WA 6107.
